Logitech Legal Counsel, AP in Kowloon, Hong Kong

The Team and Role:

The Legal Counsel, Asia Pacific (based in Hong Kong) is responsible for collaborating with sales & marketing and functional teams across the Asia Pacific region to provide practical and commercially focused legal advice. The role requires a high degree of proactivity, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Part of a culturally diversified team, the Legal Counsel reports to the Head of APAC Legal, Commercial, and works closely with legal team members in Asia, Europe and US.

  • Draft and negotiate a wide variety of time-sensitive commercial agreements, such as distribution agreements, reseller agreements, license agreements, and agreements relating to marketing, promotion and sponsorship activities; develop and update agreement templates;

  • Provide advice and counsel to business leaders and sales & marketing teams across the AP region on a wide range of consumer- and enterprise-facing matters, such as prize promotions, regulatory compliance, and channel management;

  • Establish and streamline processes and procedures to improve efficiency;

  • Coordinate brand protection and anti-counterfeiting measures;

  • Provide training to employees in different AP locations on various topics such as corporate policies, code of conduct, competition law, and advertising law;

  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders, including HR, tax, finance, supply chain, trade compliance and other internal teams; and

  • Manage outside counsel.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

  • 5 years of post-qualification and relevant in-house experience (ideally from the consumer goods sector) and/or experience working at a reputable law firm.

  • Knowledge in competition law, consumer protection, marketing and advertising law.

  • Experience in labor dispute resolution and corporate entity management in key AP jurisdictions.

  • Experience providing legal support in a multi-national culture across different time zones. Some travel may be required.

  • Admitted to the bar in a major jurisdiction.

  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of Chinese or other AP languages is a plus.

  • Be collegial, hardworking, confident, a self-starter and have a passion for results.

Education:

  • LL.B. or the equivalent or above.
